Château de Beaumont is Mansart-style
architecture, and is nestled among the trees at the heart of the
vineyard, and is ranked among the most beautiful houses in the
Haut-Medoc. The wines of Château de Beaumont are characterized
by their supple, feminine structure, which is often silky.
Tannins are generally mellow and rarely aggressive, all
contributing to a wine full of charm and finesse. The wine
can be tasted young [with a few exceptions], the highlights
reflecting the gravely ridges of the Garonne that make up the
land of the estate, and the treasure of Beaumont. |

Château
Lynch-Bages
is situated at the gates of Pauillac,
overlooking the Gironde estuary from the crest of one of the
most beautiful gravel ridges of the commune, the vineyards lie
on gravelly slopes situated on the south and south west
extremities of the town. The cellars and other buildings of the
chateau are about 500 yards from Pauillac, and are clearly
visible from the “route du vin”. Today,
Jean-Michel Cazes runs a group of fine vineyards, belonging to
his family (Lynch-Bages, Ormes de Pez
& Villa Bel Air).
He also has controlling interest in Château Cordeillan-Bages,
a hotel and restaurant, located in Pauillac and a member of the
Relais & Châteaux since 1990. |

cellar where a wine expert takes you
through the various stages of the wine-making and 'élevage'
process, showing you the wine presses, fermentation vats, where
