Bed and Breakfast - housed in a chateau or is a
unique lodging that can be called a chambre d'hôte, maison d'hôte or
manoir. Other B&Bs may be housed on farms [called a ferme],
a mill [moulin] or a mas [a farm in Provence]. Many
name their homes 'Domaine', Bastide or Clos. It depends
what area you are in, as to what the lodging is called; it
is sometimes very confusing. It's best to simply think of them all as a
B&Bs.

restaurants.
